We have not yet completed our taxonomic analyses of the Hawaiian Campanella species. Three to four species occur in Alien Wet Forests in the Hawaiian Islands, differing mainly in microscopic details. Several discolor greenish grey to bluish grey in age, while several remain white to buff throughout maturation. Marasmius hawaiiensis Henn., described from material collected on Molokai in 1887 and subsequently lost, is probably a Campanella .
